Abstract
The article examines research conducted into sleep, memory and brain activity. A number of topics surrounding this issue are discussed including the different types of memory, evidence that sleep can enhance memory functions and the clarity of thoughts, and the suggestion that slow brain waves improve the ability to make accurate recollections.
